About Swift Towing

Swift Towing provides towing, vehicle recovery, roadside assistance, and private-property towing in Ottawa and the surrounding area. That covers the ordinary and the awkward: a no-start in a parking lot, a vehicle stopped on the Queensway, a car in a ditch on a rural concession road, and a fire lane that needs clearing at a managed property.

Most of our work is light duty — cars, SUVs, crossovers, vans, and light trucks. We move them to shops, dealerships, body shops, homes, and storage, and we tell you honestly when a job needs equipment we do not have rather than sending a truck that cannot do it.

Three things shape every job. First, the vehicle gets loaded the way that specific vehicle should be loaded — all-wheel drive on a deck, soft ties on a motorcycle, manufacturer tie-down points, proper recovery rigging. Doing it right costs a few minutes and saves a repair bill.

Second, everything is documented. Condition photos before the vehicle is touched, timestamps, an itemized ticket, and a signature. That record protects you as much as it protects us.

Third, you hear the numbers before the work happens. Charges are explained before loading and arrive itemized on your ticket. If a job turns out to need more than the estimate covered, the driver tells you before doing it.

We do not promise guaranteed arrival times. During a cold snap, a snowfall, or freezing rain, every honest operator in Ottawa is running behind, and a number that sounds good is worth nothing when you are standing on a shoulder.

We do not quote a price on the phone and a different one at the roadside. We do not tow a vehicle from a private property without a signed authorization from a named representative. And we do not take a job we are not equipped to do safely — we will tell you who can.
